About us!

Welcome to our blog! We are a newly home schooling family stumbling through and making our way! My name is Julie, I am a stay at home/homeschooling mom during the week, and hospice nurse every other weekend.

My students/beautiful children.....are 5 year old Selah and 10 year old Thys. Selah has been home schooled always, (she is in kindergarten) with the exception of preschool, and Thys was home schooled in first grade, then went back to public school second through half of 4th, and is now home schooled again! =)

There are many reasons why we home school, but I will post about it at a later date. Selah and Thys both have dyspraxia and struggle a bit with fine and gross motor, as well as some aspects of learning. This is part of what makes home schooling perfect for us! We get to do things our way! They get to learn how they learn best and it makes for a lot of fun!

So, I will use this blog to share our activities and show off the kids accomplishments. =)

Our name!

So, in case you were wondering about our name, we chose it because the kids both love cats. All cats, but particularly Lynx's. Now, I wanted to put a little meaning to it, so we came up with the following:

Learning every day!
Yeilding to God's will!
Never giving up!
eXcellence in everything!
